Questo piatto ovale sembra emerso dalle radici stesse di “Yggdrasil”, l'albero cosmico della mitologia norrena. É fatto interamente a mano con la tecnica della “lastra”. L’ho creato con una terra grezza e ruvida, al suo interno ho deciso di inserire l'impronta profonda della corteccia di un albero, mentre sui quattro lati ho inciso quattro rune vichinghe. Per la smaltatura ho optato per un profondo verde muschio con una fitta puntinatura nera, che ricorda i fitti boschi del Nord. Voglio portare sulla vostra tavola il contrasto primordiale tra la pietra, il legno e la natura selvaggia.

This oval plate seems to have emerged from the very roots of “Yggdrasil,” the cosmic tree of Norse mythology. It is made entirely by hand using the “slab” technique. I created it from raw, rough clay; on the inside, I decided to incorporate a deep imprint of tree bark, while on the four sides I engraved four Viking runes. For the glaze, I chose a deep moss green with dense black speckles, reminiscent of the dense forests of the North. I want to bring the primordial contrast between stone, wood, and untamed nature to your table.
